Foxglove

£60.00

This tall foxglove stem is made from semi-opaque pink and white streaky glass soldered to a twisted wire stem. It measures approx 60 cm x 9 cm and can be displayed alone or with other stems in my wildflower collection.

Foxgloves spring up against the dry stone walls of the Peak District all summer long. These gorgeous flowers are an excellent food source for bees and moths. They are poisonous, but are a source of the prescription drug digoxin, used for irregular heartbeats and heart failure. Foxgloves are a symbol of healing and immortality, but also of insincerity and danger.
