This view of Ladybower reservoir and its iconic bridge is handcrafted using blue/green streaky glass with a wavy lined texture that captures the rippling of the water. I’ve used textured greens and streaky purples for the hills and opaque cream glass for the bridge itself. The piece also features a delicate cow parsley stem made from fine wire and tiny glass beads for extra detail.
The view is from Bamford Edge and looks across Ladybower towards Derwent and Howden reservoirs and Bleaklow.
The piece measures 14 cm by 14 cm and is finished with black patina. It’s available with a handcrafted oak stand or a black metal chain for hanging. The nature of stained glass and wood makes each piece unique. Yours may differ slightly in colour and texture from that pictured, but will be one of a kind!
