Mother Cap at Over Owler Tor

from £85.00

Mother Cap is a towering gritstone formation at the top of Over Owler Tor in the Peak District national park. A spot popular with climbers and walkers, this high point has spectacular 360 degree views over the Hope valley, Longshaw Estate, Burbage Moor, and Higger Tor.

This landscape is handcrafted using a mixture of textured and streaky glass to capture the rugged terrain and beautiful colours of the Peak District when the heather blooms. The refraction it makes is incredible! I’ve used intricate wirework and tiny, purple glass beads to add detail to the heather.

This piece measures 14 cm by 14 cm. It can be supplied with a chain to hang in a window or a handcrafted oak stand.

Due to the nature of stained glass and wood, each piece is unique and may differ slightly in colour and texture from the one pictured here.
