This intricately designed and crafted wild flower stem is a beautiful statement piece. It features four delicate pink flowers surrounded by pink copper wire flower fronds on a twisted copper wire stem with 6 lance-like leaves. The stem is finished with a copper patina.
The stem measures approx 60 cm by 17 cm. It makes an elegant addition to a room, either displayed alone, or with some of my other large wild flower stems.
Rosebay willowherb, also known as fireweed, is loved by bees and other pollinators and is food for several hawkmoth caterpillars. It’s commonly found in clearings and grassland and fills the roadside verges across the Peak District with a haze of pink towards the end of summer. Being one of the first plants to recolonise scorched or disturbed ground, it symbolises resilience, renewal and hope.
